I played through the God of War Ascension single player demo last night. Exciting, but disappointed to see many of the same stuff returning.

    Yeah, it does feel similar, but Santa Monica does epic pieces very well and I'm sure there's plenty more to come later in the game. I can feel that some people might be sick of it, but God of War is definitely one of the better action games out there. I think only Platinum Games can outshine God of War in action.

    That's almost exactly my reaction. After playing the three home console God of Wars, and then playing the demo, I am starting to feel tired of God of War as a whole. Kratos had a good run, and this game will no doubt sell, but I hope the next GOW changes it up a little. The multiplayer is at least interesting. It's a really neat throwback to games like Power Stone and I enjoyed my time in the beta.
