Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze is a platform game developed by Retro Studios for Wii U. It is the fifth installment in the Donkey Kong Country series and the first entry in the series to be truly HD. It was released worldwide in February of 2014.
In this entry, Vikings from the north have invaded Donkey Kong Country and it's up to Donkey Kong to fight them off or find another island. The game will feature two player co-op with the other player taking the role of either Diddy Kong, Dixie Kong or Cranky Kong.

Gameplay
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze is a side-scrolling platformer that has many things in common with the rest of the Donkey Kong Country series. Players still mainly control Donkey Kong, with a helper on his back, although this game introduces a few new helpers.
