Make 4-in-a-row candies, and align them with the middle cell to target them. Or use a combo of L or T, with striped 4-in-a-row candy to target a wider area. You can also use 5-in-a-row by targeting the color of the middle cell. But whatever you use, you have to target the cell twice before you can remove the "jelly".
