Asphalt 7: Heat, with updated and impressive graphics, is similar in its gameplay to previous installments in the Asphalt series. The player steers their chosen vehicle through one of the many tracks, by either tilting their device, touching the sides of the screen or using the in-game virtual steering wheel.
The game adopts a couple of systems from Asphalt 6: Adrenaline, such as earning stars on each race. The player is able to earn up to five stars on races by fulfilling certain conditions, such as drifting a set amount of time or taking out opponents. Adrenaline Mode also returns, which can be triggered when the boost meter is full, and allows the player's car to become nearly indestructible, making it easier to take down opponents.
Game Modes
Career Mode
Career mode allows the player to advance through the game by completing certain objectives and challenges, such as normal races, drifting challenges, time trials and Knockdowns. Through advancement in career mode, new cars and tracks become unlocked.
Quick Play
This mode allows you to avoid the formalities of challenges, get straight into the action and start racing on one of the many in-game tracks.
Multiplayer Mode
Multiplayer mode allows you to take on up to 5 other racers either locally or online. The 'Asphalt tracker' allows all stats to be kept track of when racing online. This means you can see how your friends have been doing and compare yourself against their stats for those all important bragging rights!
Cars and Tracks
There are over 60 licensed cars to choose from, with the likes of Lamborghini, Ferrari and Aston Martin. All cars are split into different tiers depending on their prestige. In Tier 1 you will find the likes of Range Rovers and Tesla Roadsters and as the tiers increase, you will find prestigious vehicles such as the BMW M6 Coupe, Lamborghini Gallardo and at the top end of the scale, the Buggatti Veyron Super Sport.
The player can customize and upgrade their chosen vehicle for optimal performance around tracks in cities from London and Paris, to Hawaii and Rio. There are 15 tracks total in-game, based on real cities around the world.
