Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows is coming soon, Yacht Club Games has announced.
Plague of Shadows was one of the Kickstarter stretch goals that was successfully achieved back when the company originally sought funding for Shovel Knight. It's a free expansion for the original game that allows you to play as the Plague Knight, a 'villainous master of alchemy'.
Plague of Shadows boasts the following new gameplay features:
Use explosives, bomb jumps, and alchemy to blast your way through the game in a whole new way.
Crafting comes to Shovel Knight with the Alchemy System. Collect loot and use alchemy to craft equipment and power-ups.
Collect new recipes and reagents to become the master of disaster.
New objectives and enemies.
Brand new areas and new paths through classic levels.
New bosses.
Take on Plague Knight specific challenges with new Feats.
