The game all of a sudden does not want to load

Hi. I've been reading about updates etc. My game seems to be stuck and I was wondering whether it will recover the game if I delete and reload. But if it does not even do that when you update the game - I have little hope. If this is not fixed I am finished with the game. The developers does not seem interested in helping out - so I think the game is going to die fast.
I did not even know you can visit friend's islands. So - although I REALLY enjoyed playing it, if you do not look after your "customers" you are going to loose them.

    Why is it running so slloooowww?

    Since the in-game chat became available, Island Experiment runs too slow to play - even when the chat is "hidden". Is there a way to disable the chat altogether...
