Remedy Entertainment is currently in talks with Microsoft about bringing Alan Wake to the Xbox One. Perhaps of even more interest is the possibility that we'll see a sequel on both the Xbox One as well as the PS4.
Polygon spoke to Remedy's Chief Creative Officer, Sam Land, and asked him about the likelihood of an Alan Wake port:
"I would love that to happen. Nothing has happened yet, but we are discussing this possibility with Microsoft.
I hope it happens, we'll see."
Lake also said that a port would include all of the DLC released for the game originally, and that it's very unlikely that the game would come to the Wii U or PlayStation 4.
Polygon then asked if plans for a sequel would be canned if Microsoft didn't pick it up, to which Lake replied:
"Ultimately, these things are business decisions. We are definitely not ruling anything out and looking at different opportunities, but nothing is set in stone at the moment.
When it comes to sequels it's our thing, we can do whatever makes sense and what's best for the franchise overall."
