how do I know when an HOS contains a curse ? I have been stuck on getting the holy water for days

    You need to activate the curses yourself which are found in the weapons and lures tab in you inventorium (the brown briefcase). If you have attained curses they would show as the last items in that list and you need to click "USE" to activate 3 random rooms with that curse.
