No Majora's Mask remake, but Sequel?

While replaying through Zelda: A Link Between Worlds I was phasing into Majora's Mask like almost everyone who has played the game has, and I remembered Ravio's notebook in the Lorule equivalent of the shop, the notebook in question only being available to read in Hero Mode, it got me thinking about all of the rumors of a Majora's Mask 3DS remake. Perhaps it is not hinting towards that, but a sequel. It would make sense, with A Link Between Worlds being a sequel to an old Zelda game and the mask conveniently being in one of the most important rooms of the game. And the notebook has a reference in it with each entry being started with 3 Days to Go, 2 Days to Go, and so on being a reference to the 3 day system of Majora's Mask. Perhaps it is a hint towards a game following in the same path of A Link Between Worlds. Not a remake but a sequel. And maybe the Ocarina of Time 3D remake was just an experiment of having a game of that scale on the 3DS and seeing how all of the mechanics and features would work on the handheld. This is all purely speculation, but it makes sense and it would be a very big announcement at E3 for Nintendo and that is why they were reluctant to say anything on the matter for so long. Thoughts?
