Masayoshi Tanimura is a playable character in Yakuza 4. He is a cop working for the Community Safety Division of the Kamurocho Police Department, trying to find out who killed his father 25 years ago. He is fluent in several Asian languages, including Korean, Chinese and Tagalog, as well as his native language of Japanese. Because of his love for gambling, as well as his corruption, he earned the nickname of "The Parasite of Kamurocho," although he uses the money for orphaned Asian children.
