Pugna is a ranged intelligence pusher and nuker. He is a hero that splits the community along ability levels – amongst higher-level players he is considered a pushing carry and will be given farm priority, whilst at a lower level of play he is usually played as a support hero.
Pugna Skills
Nether Blast is always skilled and maxed first.
Decrepify is skilled second but maxed last.
Nether Ward is skilled last but maxed second.
Life Drain is always skilled (levels 6, 11 and 16).

Starting Items: Tangos, Healing Salve, 4x Iron Branches.
Early Game: Boots of Speed, Magic Wand.
Core Items: Arcane Boots, Mekanism.
Luxury Items: Aghanim's Scepter, Necronomicon, Scythe of Vyse, Force Staff, Shiva's Guard, Black King Bar, Heaven's Halberd.
Situational Items: Drums of Endurance, Dagon, Ethereal Blade.
