Karn is a Maker and major character in Darksiders II, helping Death through the Forge Lands. The youngest of his kind still living in the Forge Lands, he is refereed to as Pup by others, including Death.
When Death arrived in the Forge Lands, Karn served as his guide through the Cauldron and the Drenchfort. Later, when Death restored the Maker's Forge and received the Maker's Key from Elder Eideard, Karn helped once again helped him to traverse the Foundry and awaken the Guardian.
