First Ability

Icarus Dive [Keybind: Q]

Target Point Enemies Magical
Phoenix dives forward in an arc with a fixed distance in the targeted direction, dealing damage over time and slowing the movement speed of any units he comes into contact with, and then orbiting back to his original position. If Phoenix casts Supernova, the dive ends. Costs 15% of current HP to cast.
  • Range: 1400

  • Movement Slow: 25%
  • HP Cost: 15% of Current HP
  • Cooldown: 36 seconds
Lore: Though no stranger to travelling the cosmic void, soaring within an atmosphere offers unique pleasures.
  • Is blocked by Spell Immunity.
  • Icarus Dive will be interrupted if you are stunned or silenced during it.
  • The HP cost is direct HP removal.
  • Total damage : 40/120/200/280

Second Ability

Fire Spirits [Keybind: W]

Summons 4 fire spirits that circle around you. Each spirit can be launched independently at a targeted area of effect. Affected enemy units take damage over time and have their attack speed greatly reduced.
  • Damage Per Second: 10/30/50/70
  • Attack Speed Reduction: 80/100/120/140
  • Duration: 4
  • Radius: 175
  • Cast Range: 1400
  • Fire Spirits Duration: 16
  • Fire Spirits Flight Speed: 900
  • HP Cost: 20% of Current HP
  • Cooldown: 45/40/35/30
  • Mana Cost: 80/90/100/110
Lore: The ever-collapsing core of Phoenix often emits short-lived bursts of conscious light.
  • Is blocked by Spell Immunity.
  • Is blocked by Linken's Sphere.
  • Can be cast during Icarus Dive.
  • The HP cost (15% of your current HP) is direct HP removal.
  • Spirit impact doesn't stack, just refreshes duration. Does not affect Magic Immune units, and can be dispelled.
  • Spirits grow in size while circling Phoenix, but only as a cosmetic. Spirits will have the same effect regardless of size.
  • Total damage per spirit : 60/140/220/300

Launch Fire Spirits [Keybind: W]

Third Ability

Sun Ray [Keybind: E]

Drawing from his own inner fire, Phoenix expels a huge beam of light at the cost of his own life energy. The beam damages enemies for a percentage of their life and heals allies for half the amount. Damage scales up to twice the initial damage as the beam fires. Costs 6% of current HP per second.
  • Range: 1300
  • Duration: 6
  • Damage/Heal: 15/20/25/30 + 1/2/3/4% Max HP per second (Allies are healed for half the amount)
  • Radius: 130
  • HP Cost: 6% of current HP per second
  • Cooldown: 20 seconds
  • Mana Cost: 100
Lore: The vent through which such stellar energy flows is mere atoms wide.
  • Is blocked by Spell Immunity.
  • The HP cost (6% of your current HP per second) is direct HP removal.
  • Sun Ray ends if Phoenix is stunned or silenced.
  • Phoenix can turn in place while Sun Ray is active.
  • While Sun Ray is active, Phoenix cannot use items that require a target unit or point. Items such as Mekansm or Manta Style, or toggling Power Treads, and Phoenix's other abilities are still usable.
  • Maximum damage: 135/180/225/270 + 9/18/27/36% Max HP (Allies are healed for half the amount).

Toggles slow forward movement during Sun Ray firing.
  • Icarus will drift towards the direction of the ray.
  • Phoenix moves with a fixed 250 movement speed in this state.
  • Phoenix can move through cliffs and will destroy trees on his path.
  • Any slowing effect will not affect this movement.

Stop Sun Ray

Immediately stops the Sun Ray.

Ultimate Ability

Supernova [Keybind: R]

No Target Enemies Magical
The Phoenix willingly ends his current life for the chance to be reborn. Transforms into a burning sun that scorches enemies in a huge area. The sun can be attacked by enemy heroes; if it is destroyed, the Phoenix dies as well. However, if the sun survives for 6 seconds all enemies in range will be stunned and the Phoenix will return to life fully regenerated.
  • Radius: 1000
  • Supernova Duration: 6
  • Stun Duration: 1.5/2/2.5
  • Damage per Second: 60/80/100
  • Hero Attacks to kill Sun: 5/8/11
  • Cooldown: 110
  • Mana Cost: 200
  • Aghanim's Scepter: Allows Phoenix to cast Supernova on an allied hero, bringing both into the Sun to be reborn together. This does not refresh either hero's ultimate. 500 cast range. If the Sun is destroyed, both heroes will die.
Lore: The solar crucible of a Supernova may be fatal, yet from its flames arise new beacons to wander infinity.
  • Is blocked by Spell Immunity.
  • All other ability cooldowns are refreshed if reborn successfully.
  • Only attacks from heroes (Meepo clones included, but not illusions) can damage the sun.
  • No ability can affect the sun.
  • Phoenix is paused, hidden and invulnerable for the duration of Supernova.
  • Maximum damage : 360/480/600
