Nemesis T-Type, commonly known as just Nemesis, is a character from the Resident Evil series of games, with its first appearance being in Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. It is a form of a Tyrant, which has been infected with a parasitic organism that grants it increased intelligence, and it was named after the the ancient Greek goddess of vengeance, Nemesis. This intelligence is displayed in it using man-made weapons, such as a rocket launcher mounted on its left arm.
Its first appearance was in Resident Evil 3, where Jill Valentine first encounters it outside of the police station. It kills Brad Vickers and then proceeds to chase Jill throughout the rest of the game, where it is eventually killed at the game's conclusion. Nemesis also appears in Resident Evil: Survivor 2 - Code: Veronica and Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, where it is either a boss or obstacle (it appears as a boss in Under the Skin as well). It makes cameos in the SNK vs Capcom card games, as well as in Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds, before becoming a playable character in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. It is set to appear as a Rival Unit in Project X Zone.
