BlackRose is a character in the .hack series of games, as well as the main female protagonist in Infection, Mutation, Outbreak and Quarantine. Her class is the Heavy Blade, meaning she wields two-handed swords as her primary weapons. She partners up with Kite in the beginning of the games, mostly because Kite was investigating the comas that were happening in the real world that seemed to be linked to The World; her brother, Kazu was one of the victims.
Her real life counterpart is named Akira Hayami, and is a 16 year old high school student that loves playing tennis. She lives in Asahi ward, Yokohama, with her parents and two younger brothers. BlackRose also appears in .hack//Link, as well as in the crossover game, Project X Zone, where she is paired with Kite.
