Hawke who is the main character in Dragon Age II, can be played in male or female form.
Hawke is a human who lived in Lothering during The Fifth Bligth which is in Ferelden. As the darkspawn attacked in greater numbers, Hawke tries to flee north toward the Free Matches. Hawke finds himself on a boat on the way to the City of Kirkwall, were he is just known as being refugee but he will find himself more important becoming a champion.
Hawke's father, was an apostate mage who died three years before the beginning of the game while his mother Leandra is a noble from the City of Kirkwell. Hawke wasn't an only child, he has two younger twin siblings Bethany who is a mage and a warrior brother named Carver, who are both companions during the game.
