Blackout is described as the "hound" of Megatron, since he is usually found silently looming behind his leader's right shoulder. He is often called upon when a target needs to be hunted down and does so with fierce determination, using his symbiotic companion Scorponok's small size when needed.
In Transformers: The Game, Blackout isn't happy with Starscream's slow progress in tracking down Megatron and often suspects he would prefer him to stay missing.
