Reid Hershel is the main protagonist of Tales of Eternia. Reid is very relaxed who lives to eat. He is so lazy in fact that at the start of the journey he wants nothing to do with the quest at hand, though things eventually changes and reid becomes a worthy leader and a more understanding person in general. Reid eventually finds out that he has a special type of energy that can combat the dark aurora which is a menacing force that threatens two worlds.
