Amarie Gelade is a wandering adventurer and playable character in Ar tonelico II: Melody of Metafalica. At first she is reproachful to the party for her personal reasons, but she eventually learns to share her feelings with everyone.
Many years before, Amarie's friend and Chester's lover, Sonia, succumbed to an I.P.D outbreak. Though she has feelings for Chester, she pushed them aside and tries to help Chester get over their tragic past. Eventually she moves on and develops feelings for Leglius Branchesca.
