Relic Entertainment is a Canadian video game developer which is a subsidiary of THQ. It was founded in 1997 in British Columbia. Its first game was the critically acclaimed Homeworld, but it is now better known for its work on Warhammer games, especially the Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War franchise, and more recently Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine (one of the few non-strategy games it has developed), as well as the Company of Heroes games.
