Pinkerton Road, based in Lancaster County, PA, was founded in 2012 by Jane Jensen (Gabriel Knight series) and her musician husband Robert Holmes. The company is focussed on creating story-based games for PC download, iPad, and Android tablets.
Foundation of the company was funded via a Kickstarter campaign and what Pinkerton are calling a Community Supported Gaming (CSG) model, apparently inspired by organic farming. The Kickstarter campaign raised $435,316 on a $300,000 goal.
