Fighters Destiny is a 3-D points based fighting game for the Nintendo 64 home video game console. It was a highly over looked game, and the sales for it were mediocre at best, but the reviews of the game were almost always favorable. The sales warranted a sequel in the series named Fighter Destiny 2 - The "s" in Fighter had to be dropped due to a lawsuit.
The video game was unique because no fighting video game before or after, had a points based system, where the player was awarded a different amount of points depending how the player defeated their opponent. For example, a knock-down would earn the player 3 stars, and a throw-down would only earn the player 2 points, but a special-down would be a massive 4 points.
As for the game modes, it has an arcade type of game play mode, where you can face every default unlocked character at their respective stages. There is also a "Master Challenge" in which the player takes a chance and spins a wheel of some sorts, and if it lands on the Master, the player has the chance to learn a new move with the character you chose to fight as. If you land on the Joker, then you must defeat him, although you get nothing for doing so. If you lose to the Joker, then you lose the "Master Challenge" and all of your new moves that the player had learned from Master.
