Army Men: Air Combat Overview
Air Combat is a great beginners game that will help you to learn eye hand coordination and some strategy. You are placed at the controls of a basic helicopter and given orders to find or collect objects and army men. Available copters are the King Cobra, the Chinook, the Osprey and the Apache. Some of the characters in the game are General Plastro, Sarge, Colonel Grimm, the Tan Baron, Bombshell, Woodsttock and you, captain Blade. Certain tasks must be completed before moving on. Blade will find himself in a new environment each time he completes a mission. It may be part of the back yard or the sandbox. He will have at his disposal a hoist to grab pick-ups that may give the copter more armor, more ammo, more speed or stealth. You will be fighting the battles alone for the most part and will be up against rockets, tanks, artillery, aircraft bombing raids and a number of enemies on foot. They will have machine guns, bazookas and rifles.
Blade will find a number of copters and weapons at his disposal, such as rockets and machine guns. With the hoist you will be able to pick up rocks and other objects to use against the enemy and his equipment. At times you will have to locate batteries to power a device or find parts to build a super weapon. You may find that the controls are little quirky at times but they can be overcome. The graphics are simple and the story line simple as well but the entertainment is more than ample. There are many hours of game play so be ready to spend a few evenings at the controls. Have fun.
