Shenmue City is a game in the Shenmue series released for smartphones in Japan. Unlike the first two installments in the series, Shenmue City is not a sequel, but rather a social games service for Yahoo! Mobage service.
It was produced and directed by Yu Suzuki.
Shenmue City is the first title developed by Ys Net, a studio founded by the game creator Yu Suzuki in 2008. The title was supervised by Sega and published in Japan by Sunsoft on the Yahoo! Mobage social gaming service and its mobile site, Mobagetown.
