Tips and Strategies
Learning to Slide
Getting the timing right on sliding down those hills is the most important skill to learn. Bring your bird down as close to the start of the slope as you can to catch maximum lift. Three perfect jumps will send you into 'Fever Mode' with extra speed and extra points, so it's a good idea to keep practicing the early islands and know when to hold down and lift your finger to get it right.
Watching how the other birds travel in the early stages will help give you a clue.
Completing Objectives
Every time you complete a set of objectives you will gain a new nest and receive a new set of objectives. In addition to this, the number you see on your nest is a score multiplier.
Touching the Sky & Wading Through Water
Whenever your bird touches the sky you will gain 20 points, multiplied bu your current multiplier. This allows you to get great scores and complete those multipliers that ask for them.
Hitting the water slows you down. Rather than trying to lift your bird into the air again, dive down to the bottom and up the slope again as you normally would. Although you're slowed down a little bit, it's better than trying to fly your way out.
Points vs. Speed
While Fever Mode is great for touching the sky and racking up points, but some objectives are all about speed and time. Making long, low jumps and staying close to the ground will often get you there quicker.
Dealing with Terrain?
Instead of focusing on your bird, focus on the terrain to see what lies ahead. This comes in handy much later when the terrain becomes unpredictable.
If the hills become too tricky to navigate, don't worry. Quit the game for a couple of hours and the terrain will regenerate at random.
Upside Down Objective
An easy way to get around the Upside Down objective is to turn your device around and then tilt it slightly to trick it. Then tilt your head the other way for a near perfect view of what you're doing.
Fever Mode Objective
If you're attempting the objective that requires you to be in Fever Mode for 34 seconds, and you happen to be playing on an iPhone, have someone call you while you're in Fever Mode. The timer keeps counting while you're on the call, and with a bit of luck, when you resume the game, the objective will be complete.
