You do not have to link eight jewels in a row to get the Supernova Jewel Using six jewels will do the same thing in the following pattern

Twist Z to connect the three then the Ys will fall into place and leave the six Xs to connect together
Use the following pattern Twist block AA cascade and you are done Note Put another line of gems above the Ss for extra Novas

If the Doom Gem has the number 12 the other bomb gem is same and your move remaining is 10 twist anywhere until the challenge has been completed
