The L96A is a bolt-action sniper rifle with a 5-round magazine unlocked at level 27 in multiplayer. It is the most appreciated and the most widely used sniper rifle in Black Ops. It 100% one-shot kills in the upper-body but has very high recoil.
The real L96 is manufactured by Accuracy International, Britain and was first designed in 1982. It fires 7,62mm NATO rounds, weights 6,5kg and has a range up to 800m. Italia and the Netherlands also use it.
