Survarium is an online massive multiplayer first-person shooter where you take control of a character, evolve tactical abilities and skills, explore the apocalyptic lands and fight for survival.
As the events take place in a world of an ecological catastrophe, everything is a complete chaos. You must think carefully which your next step should be as you may walk right into a trap and get killed.The game offers a variety of maps, each having several tactical opportunities, lore information and secrets you must uncover.
Game Modes
Survarium offers 3 game modes that players can play: Team Pplay, Freeplay and Cooperative.
Teamplay (PvP)
The Teamplay is a player-vs-player mode where your team must fight the opposite team to defend territory or capture valuable resources.
Free Play (PvE)
Free Play is the unpredictable fight for survival among the deadly areas and cities. You can either travel alone or with your allies.
Cooperative (Co-op)
Cooperative is a campaign with a storyline where you adventure as one of the survivors in a small group.
Character
As you step in the game, you must create a hero. Your character will develop its skills by accumulating experience through the missions. There are several characteristics that define your hero.
Characteristics
Every character in the game is defined by the following stats:
- Condition: Hero's health
- Weight: The amount of items the hero is carrying. This affects his speed and energy
- Energy: Used to run or for other physical activities
- Disguise: How hard the hero is to be noticed
- Protection: How protected the hero is from damage
- Insulation: How isolated the hero is from the outside environment
- Oxygen: Hero's oxygen reserve
Roles
To make a difference between heroes, each can choose a Role (or a combination of roles) defined by its playstyle. Each role has certain characteristics:
- Scout: stealthy playstyle defined by hiding from enemies
- Marksman: long range playstyle based on the sniper
- Artifact Hunter: based on knowledge and equipment for surviving anomalies
- Trapper: based on traps and snares
- Goon: based on heavy armor and protection
- Punisher: fast and mobile fighter
Skills
Every time you level up by gathering enough experience (earned through missions), you are awarded one skill point to invest into your character's skills. For every 5 levels in a skill, the hero can become a specialist in one of the two give abilities. Once you reach level 20, you can select a master ability. Here's a categorization of skills:
- Firearm training: the skills of using a weapon
- Physical training: running speed, weight carried, heavier guns, etc
- Medical skills: the skills in medicine and stimulators
- Technical skills: the use of traps and devices
- Survival skills: the ability to handle anomalies and artifacts

Abilities
Abilities are special skills chosen once every 5 skill levels. Some of the announced abilities so far are:
- Sprinter: Increases movement speed when sprinting
- Second Wind: When your energy has been exhausted, you are able to fully recover. Can not occur more than once per minute
- Smooth Exhalation: You recover from holding your breath quicker
Customization
The heroes are also unique through their equipment styles and the combinations between them:
- Assault: protection and frontal combat
- Subversive: mobility and speed
- Anomalous: isolation from anomalies
- Sniper: disguise
Anomalies and Artifacts
Anomalies
Before the catastrophe, scientists discovered a strange phenomena occurring in ecologically pouted areas. Some bacterias appeared and mutated, becoming deadly anomalies. The best way to deal with one is to avoid it but you can also start fighting it if you have appropriate equipment.
Artifacts
Artifacts are useful objects that can help you or harm your enemies. Once you've learned the "Master of Artifacts" skill, you can activate them and release their energy. The artifacts types include: Sponge, Coil, Rattle, Spring, Larkspur, Onyx.
Items
Weapons
Weapons are tools that injure other players or units in the game. You can acquire new weapons from various factions, by completing tasks and from dead enemies.
Equipment
Equipment is used to customize your character's characteristics and specialization. There are 7 slots of equipment you can fill: Head, Face, Body, Back, Legs, Hands and Feed. You can earn equipment by purchasing from factions and completing tasks for them.
Factions and Clans
Players can organize their own clans to cooperate and sustain each other. Each clan is part of a Faction which will protect your clan depending on the actions of its fighters.
Rankings
The game offers a couple of ways to make a difference between players' gaming skills.
Achievements
When you complete an unusual task like killing an enemy with a headshot, never dying through a battle and so on, you will be awarded an achievement. Some achievements award special items or ranks that make you better than other players.
Rankings
Rankings are ladders of score for certain areas of the game. For a short time, it displays the best players in domains like: best player, best artifact hunter, best sniper, best explorer and best support player.
Tournaments
If you want to deal with others in face-to-face combat, you can join a tournament and fight other players. You can register your team and climb the tournament ladder together.
