Happy Street is a city building game where you can build a uniquely charming village, limited only by your imagination and discover a living world full of funny and customizable characters.
Explore a variety of places, such as the peaceful forest where you can fish, sculpt, craft and cook. Let your imagination run wild and develop a village that is truly unique to you, including a train, a giant museum, a hotel to invite your friends, and much, much more.
Basic Goal
You play Billy, the adventurer, create a successful village that thrives with plenty of other furry friends. The key to your success is the collection of gems, called Flooz. These allow you to build certain structures and give you the option of expanding your territory. You can earn them through gameplay, through social connections with other players or by purchasing outright.
Creating a Village
One of the many challenges in Happy Street is creating a village that gives the inhabitants everything they need, from places to eat to places to play. It is up to you to ensure that the shops, stores and venues are well-stocked.
Business Buildings
Their are multiple types of buildings, such as the Fruit Stand and Cheese Market, each giving you a bonus to help your village grow. As you make buildings you will gain money from items purchased there by NPCs, but you will need to remember to restock them often. In order to build these you will need coins and/or resources and will receive the same in return.

As Billy levels he will be able to build new buildings that include the Lucky Spin mini-game and more.
Housing Buildings
Housing buildings are different than buisiness, in that they do not provide items or money, as a business would, but they do increase the size of the village by housing NPCs.
Understanding the Menu
Having a good understand of Happy Street's menu system is very important. To access it tap on the downward facing arrow on the top right of the screen.
Shop- Here is where you can purchase shops, homes and various decoration items for your village. As you level up you will unlock new content here and it all costs a certain amount of wood and coins.
Bag- As you do things you will gather a lot of items. To check on what you have tap on the 'bag' option.
Map- There are other sedctions of the game aside from just your street. The green forest for example. To get an overview of the places you have been go to the map.
Friends- When you choose the friends option you will be taken to a globe that shows your current Facebook and ame center friends playing the game. Tap on their names to visit their villages.
Resources & Making Room
The land is covered in forest and bushes that will need to be cleared before you can create buildings. When cleared, bushes and trees give you coins and wood, a valuable resourced needed to build many of the buildings in the game. As the game progresses the number of bushes/trees you will need to clear will increase as will the reward.
Expansion of Land
You will eventually be given the opportunity to expland your land in order to build more buildings to attract more villagers.
The first expansion costs 2 flooz, but as the game progresses this price will increase as will the completion time. If you do not have enough flooz to expand your land or just in general you can:
- Complete more Quests
- Complete Pepin's deals
- Play every day at the Lucky Spin
- Visit your friends who play the game
The Green Forest
Press on the plack in the corner of the screen to enter the Green Forest then a loading sign will come up and eventually take you to a new area.
The Green Forest is 'magical' as trees grow faster here so this enables you to collect as much wood as you need. To collect the wood you simply tap on the trees and once piece drops each time.
Quests
Throughout the game you will be given quests to complete in return for coins and Flooz. Quests pop up on screen with details of how the quest is completed.
The icon of whoever gave you the task will move to the left hand side of the screen, so you can click on it to refresh your memory about what you needed to do in order to complete the quest. This is useful for when you have more than one task to complete.
For example, in level 2 you are given the task of restocking your Fruit Stand and Glasses Shop once. At the bottom of the quest box is a tip to assist you in completing the task. In this case the tip says that by tapping on the icon above the shops you can restock them. Once ypu have read the information, press okay and the icons appear above the stores.
Note: Each quest takes different amount of time and some can be over within seconds, while others can take much longer. If you don't like waiting around quests can be sped up by using Flooz to instantly complete the quest.
Billy's Status
Helping the Villagers
Keeping villagers happy is a crucial part of happy street. You will amass loads of coins and new villagers whilst you are away from the game. The more villagers level up the more they buy! Sometimes villagers will be looking for a shop or a villager tap on them to find out what they need and then tap on the shop or villager in question.
Now and then your villagers will have birthdays. This will be emoted by a picture of a cake on top of their head. If you want to give them a present tap it and choose a gift.
Poopy the Bird
Every now and then poopy the bird will fly over your village. If tapped at the right time, he will poop on someone in your village!
Level Up
By completing tasks you will gain experience and level up and earn rewards. For example, when you reach Level 2 you will unlock the Lucky Spin, Wood Cottage, earn 600 coins and 1 flooz. This will increase as you clear each level.

Happiness
You are required to keep an eye on the happiness of each character within the game by playing to each of their hobbies and interests.
The characters need three kinds of business to stay happy:
- Shops with something to buy (Bazaar)
- Shops with something to eat (Fruit Stand)
- Shops with something to play (Pinball)
If they lack any of those things (such as run out of stock), they will mope around the street with a little icon above their head representing their needs.
Wallet
Your wallet will show your earnings.
Energy
As the game progresses your character will decrease in energy and you will need to rest.
Mini-Games
Lucky Spin
The lucky spin is based on a slot machine at the arcade. Each day you are given one free token to play with, you can also buy more tokens through the app store using real money, which gives you one spin and pays out Flooz.

Connecting with Friends
You are encouraged to connect with friends who play the game, either through Facebook or the Game Center. You can then visit their streets, only once per day, and help them maintain their shops' inventories.
On doing so, you are rewarded with some Flooz and some coins that can be used to buy different kinds of buildings or expand your city limits. Even if your friends stop using the game you can still pop over and get Flooz and Cash.
Seasonal Updates
Happy Street is continuously updated with additional content, specifically during seasonally themed holidays. For example, Chinese New Year, Christmas, Easter and St. Patrick's Day.
Not only is the village physically changed to match the season, but new items and events become available during the season.
