Godus's gameplay will have the basics of a god game such as the isometric view and playing as the God of the in-game world implied by the genre, "god game." As the god you will be able to shape your land however you like by building houses and other buildings to aid the worlds inhabitants.
Shaping Your World
Godus contains many tools to help you shape any kind of world you want. These tools will allow you to flatten/raise the land and create beautiful waterfalls with dynamic new water physics. When it comes to housing your followers all you need to do is set the location of the house and your followers do the rest.
Disasters
As the god you can create disasters at anytime to either deal with villages or just for the fun of it. So far the only known disasters are the tornado and the volcano, both with their own special features.
The Tornado (shown on the left) has gestures allowing the player to control the tornado, as well as increasing the power.
The Volcano can be pulled up from the ground at any time setting houses on fire, creating obsidian when the lava meets sea and generally causing havoc in your world.
Multiplayer
In multiplayer, players are either set out as different tribes and eventually start a huge war between each other or work together to sculpt the perfect world using various tools and structures to help their followers needs.
God of Gods
The winner of 22cans' other game, Curiosity, which was released on iOS and Android, would become the god of all Godus players. The lucky winner, Bryan Henderson, was granted the power to change any in-game rule/element at any time for every Godus player, for the temporary reign of 6 months. Though this is an incredible prize, it will have limits to protect players.
As stated by Peter Molyneux, "he can't decide everyone in Canada will explode or anything like that. There are limits to his power."
