Among The Sleep is a first-person game that involves controlling a toddler and exploring the environment. Throughout the game, players will have a variety of puzzles to solve in order to progress as they crawl and hide behind and under through their journey.
Playing from a Child's Perspective
The game is played from the perspective of a toddler, making it unique compared to other entries in the survival horror genre. Objects in the world are scaled to this level, making doors seem very high, bookshelves seem huge, and chairs tower over the player. Completing the in-game puzzles will require the player to think like a child.
Oculus Rift
Among the Sleep is going to support Oculus Rift gameplay. The Oculus Rift is a type of virtual reality, used by wearing the Rift's VR goggles, allowing players to feel as though they are in the child's body. Players will get a 360 degree view of the world around them with depth and perception, even being able to look down and see their own child body.
