Tobuscus Adventures: Wizards! is a fantasy-based role-playing game. The object of the game is to use magic spells to defend a wizard's castle from oncoming hordes of zombies and eventually defeat the Wizard of Darkness.
Spells
Pages of the wizard's spellbooks are scattered throughout the world. The player is required to go and collect the spellbook pages while attempting to fight off the zombies. Each spellbook page contains a new spell that the player can cast by drawing a unique shape or symbol. In the iOS and Android versions of the game, the symbols are drawn with the touchscreen, but in the Windows version they are drawn by a mouse.
Once the player draws the symbol from the page, they tap or click somewhere on the battlefield to designate where the spell is cast. In the case of certain spells, such as Firewall, the player must designate where the spell begins and ends.
Store
Tobuscus Adventures: Wizards! features an in-game "wizard store." Destroying zombies in-game will drop coins for the player to collect. These coins can be used in the wizard store to buy magical items to use in combat or upgrades for both the player character and their castle.
