Tips and Strategies
A Free Gun
If you've played EPOCH I before and still have it on your device, you get a free gun. Start shooting!
Move!
Never stay in one place. Move to different positions and get a good vantage point to attack your opponents while avoiding their deadly bullets. Be aware of enemies who launch missiles as well. Watch them closely and only move right after they've launched the missile, otherwise the missile will still be aimed at you. Practise timing your dodges correctly, and you'll be fine in no time.
One kill at a time
Defeating one enemy at a time is better than attacking enemies as a whole. It's better to have one less opponent shooting at you than to just keep shooting at all of them, trying to take them all out in one go. However, different types of weapons make exceptions to this strategy.
For example, you will want to hit as many enemies with an explosive weapon to thin out their numbers and deal damage to everyone, so you can easily take the remaining ones out. With a corrosive weapon, you will want to hit all your enemies one at a time to inflict damage over time.
Manual reloading is key
Not only is this faster than automatic reloading, where you still have to wait for your bullets to run out, it does double damage as well when you swipe down to reload, and again when the slider reaches the white section. This will allow you to both deal more damage and attack faster.
Prioritise your kills
Make sure to defeat enemies that are closest to you, as you won't like it when you're surrounded by enemies and you have nowhere to hide from their attacks. If your current target has taken cover, try switching to another target temporarily. This will allow the enemies' health to be lower, should you have to come back to them later on in the battle.
Be suggestible
For every mission, it always displays on the bottom right corner of the screen the best types of weapons you have to bring to succeed. Always follow these suggestions; the largest icon of the two displayed beside "Best Attack" and "Best Defense" is what they recommend as the best weapon type to bring. Equip these weapons and blast through all who stand against you!
Revisit levels on higher difficulties
Before unlocking a higher difficulty, you will have to clear the mission in easy mode. Completion of these missions in a higher difficulty offers better rewards than what you initially had on your first run. However, you need to remember that sometimes these missions have different objectives to win, such as defeating a certain number of enemies under a time limit. Farm these missions for money and get better equipment, so you can advance and do harder missions.
Arena spree
Fight in the arena as much as you can. You get twice as much money from fighting in the arena than just replaying the campaign missions over and over again. The higher the score you get, the higher the rewards you win; get a score of 32, and you'll earn at least 6000, and in two to three runs, you'll be able to get a tier II weapon.
Don't get locked-on!
Enemies normally take some time before they can aim on you, so if you move constantly, you will be able to avoid their attacks properly with the right timing. Using your super moves also prevents them from locking-on to you, considering that super moves allow you to change your position depending on where you are.
If you are on your left, EPOCH will jump to the right and vice versa. If you're positioned in the middle, EPOCH will jump up and hover for a short period of time, thus giving you an improved aim on your targets due to the higher vantage point provided by the super move.
