Tips and Strategies
Buying / Unlocking New Cars
Playing through the game will unlock new cars. The shop offers seven tiers of cars, each progressively perform better with tier number, but higher tier cars cost more.
In-game money is earned through various events and challenges, which can then be used in the game to buy new cars. Optionally, you may also use real cash to buy cars.
Buying New Cars over Upgrades
Buying a new car is better than upgrading your existing car, which take a considerable amount of time. Waiting for upgrades to finish might prevent you from participating from many events, while you could simply buy a new car and enter the event.
Upgrades
Upgrades are divided across the four main categories:
- Top Speed determines your overall speed in the race
- Acceleration helps you get there faster
- Handling will make it much easier to tackle tricky corners
- Brakes help you manage your flow through the race
These upgrades can be applied to the car with in-game cash in stages. This results in a slow and steady improvements to your cars overall performance, but arounf Level 5 these upgrades really become noticeable.
Upgrade Timers
Do not have the urge to skip timers. They involve a good deal of cash to be wasted which can be later utilized in much better ways.
Top Cars
The Dodge Charger and the Plymouth Hemi Cuda are the top rated cars and are located in the seventh tier. However, these cars are locked, and can only be won through Platinum series events, which allow players to compete and win prizes from the top tier.
Earning More Money
To earn more money it's best to complete challenges. These vary from overtaking a certain number of competitors, holding the lead for several seconds, or "mastering" corners.
Driving Assists
Two assist systems are provided in the game - Steering and Braking. Steering assist allows easy handling of the car, while Braking assist helps maintain the correct speed. It is easier to learn the game with these two turned one, but experienced players would prefer turning these off, since that would provide the true challenge to the gamer, and also, offer more cash rewards in races.
Mechanics
Saving premium cash for mechanics is very important since they allow you to upgrade multiple vehicles at the same time. Better mechanics can also shorten the time it takes to perform upgrades. It is recommended that one saves every bit of premium currency earned so it can put towards increasing of mechanics.
Replay Old Races
Completed races can be replayed for decent amounts of cash based on your prformance, such as perfect turns, beating lap times and overtaking other cars. This allows you to extract more and more cash out of the previously completed races. Experience is gained too, which helps leveling up, and earning even more cash.
