Tips and Strategies
The Characters
In the beginning you start with Luke. Some what of a nerdy character, he is fast on his feet and carries a good amount of shotgun shells. His mount is the burro, which is not always the best option.
You can unlock more characters, such as Syndicate and Seananners further on in the game or purchase them for $.99 or 100,000 coins. The main benefits of these characters are their chosen mounts; Syndicate's motorcycle and Seananner's mounted cat are a huge upgrade from Luke's burro and make for fun rides.
Getting More Ammo
There are two main ways of replenishing your ammo. Firstly, you can purchase bullets directly using coins. Depending on how many you buy, these will usually cost between 950-3000 coins. Alternatively, killing zombies will allow you to pick up ammo shells that they leave behind, usually amounting to around 50 bullets per zombie.
Picking up shells from zombie corpses is probably the best way to go about gaining ammo. Remember if you run out of bullets, you can simply avoid the zombies until you collect enough coins to restock.
Taking Out Multiple Enemies
Tapping your screen when in a row of zombies will allow you to fire multiple shots in succession, leaving behind you a line of zombie destruction. This can be extremely effective, however be careful of your ammo supply, as this approach will have you firing shells at a much higer rate.
Using Mounts
Mounts are temporary animals that give you a ride, providing speed boosts and other benefits depending on the animal. All characters have different mounts. Eg. Luke's burro, Syndicate's motorcycle.
There are also special mounts that can provide different benefits. Whilst these do not last as long, they can be very effective. The bull, for example, allows you to gore through Zombies with ease, whilst using a raven allows the player to sore above the zombies and shoot from distance. Whatever your playing style, there is a mount to help you.
Escaping the Chasing Zombies
These guys can be very annoying, as you cannot shoot behind your character. Fortunately, the standard laws of zombies apply here, and the slow, stumbling creature can escaped. Simply avoid crashing for a few seconds and this guy will fade into the distance. However, be aware that stumbling on an object will allow it to catch up - repeat the process and you will be able to lose him again.
Magnet Power-Up
Picking this up essentially makes youur character a 'magnet' to coins. You wont havve to do as much in moving side to side to collect the coins, as they wiill all flow straight into you as you move along. It may be a good idea to increase your magnet duration in the shop. It can be expensive, at 2000 coins, however the coins you collect long-term after doing this more than make up for it.
