Fiz: The Brewery Management Game is a brewery simulation game that takes inspiration from classic games such as Lemonade Stand and Rollercoaster Tycoon. The game is single player and has a retro 16-bit visual style.
Basic Gameplay
Gameplay consists of making beer, using beer, upgrading your brewery, and then repeating the process. The player manages their brewery by upgrading equipment, managing employees and marketing their beer.
Making Beer
You must combine ingredients such as corn syrup and saaz hops to form recipes. Recipes are made by arranging specific ingredients in specific patterns. If you don't own all of the ingredients you can purchase the missing ones to fill in your recipe.
Marketplace
The player purchases distribution contracts to sell beer in the marketplace. Each place varies in how many customers per month visit, the fee to stock the product and how much shelf space is available for it. Some of the information is public knowledge and some must be researched. Research helps determine what types of beer sell well and how you should price it.
Competitions
You can also enter competitions and special events to gain recognition for your beer. You can win awards and ribbons as well as cash and special ingredients to make otherwise unobtainable recipes.
Employees
The player must hire employees to work for them and each has a certain personality, qualifications and attributes, as well as a special ability such as increasing brewing speed or beer's shelf life. Their required monthly salary is also listed.

You must always have four employees total to run the brewery, so in order to bring in a new person you must fire someone currently employed. There are over 20 characters to hire/fire throughout the game.
Assigning Jobs
You assign each of your employees one of four brewing jobs: Cleaning, Mashing & Boiling, Fermenting, and Packaging. Each job requires an employee to have a sufficient amount of attributes for the task. Attributes include intelligence, dexterity, patience and craft. Choosing the employee with the highest attributes for each job improves your brew.
