Cheats and Tips
There is Very Rarely Only One Way to Beat a Level
Most levels have multiple solutions. Some solutions will award you more score or time than others, so don’t be afraid to try some moves that aren’t located in any tutorial. This tip is good to keep in mind when trying to obtain the top score out of all your friends—your strategy for beating the level might be to blame for your low score.
Take Your Time and Don’t be Afraid to Restart
You don’t have to frantically rush to beat a level. The whole point of the game is to strategize and think things through. If you can’t figure it out the first time, there’s always a restart button at the ready which can be used an unlimited amount of times.
Know the Roles of Your Allies
In some levels, you’ll have friends like Lick to assist you. Try tapping on them first to see exactly what their purpose is; it’ll help you as you’re plotting your moves.
Don’t Pay for Additional Levels
In each stage, you have your standard 20 levels plus an additional 5 unlockable levels which can be accessed by either obtaining all the medals in that level pack, finding missing shamrocks or paying $0.99 per level pack. Don’t waste your money on additional levels, they’re easy enough to obtain if you focus on collecting medals. Simply tap on the medal you want to acquire after you complete a level and discover what you need to do in order to obtain it.
Use Your Hints Wisely
It may be tempting to use a hint early on in the game. But use them all too quickly and you’ll be in trouble later on when you actually need them the most, as you'll need to buy more. Try each level several times before using any hints.
In-app Content is Awarded for Determination
After beating enough levels and getting enough three star ratings, the game will award you with in-app content. It can be anything from additional hints to worthless but fun costumes for your Om Nom creature.
Use Your Helper Items
If a level is giving you trouble and you don’t feel like using a hint to beat it, remember that you have various items available to help you. Just remember, use them sparingly as you would with tips, as they are limited in quantity.
