Motocross Meltdown is a motocross-themed racing game that controls similarly to certain rhythm games. After you've created your own motocross bike and racer you can then take part in various single player and online multiplayer events.
Starting Gun
The red Start button appears on the screen at the start of each race and the timer will count down. When all four lights are green tap the start button to get off to a good start. If timed perfectly your biker will receive a flying start off the starting line.
Basic Controls
Similar to music & rhythm games, like Guitar Hero, you need tap the 'action button' in the bottom right corner of the gameplay screen whenever a marker enters the hit zone. If performed successfully, your biker will perform a correct manoeuvre or trick. The closer you are to perfectly lining up the marker with the zone, the better your biker will perform in the game.
Tricks
You can tell when a 'trick' marker is coming up because it has a trail blazing behind it. When performing tricks, you must hold the action button for a certain period of time. Make sure to release the action button before your racer lands on the ground though.
Race Types
There are a number of different event types you can take part in.
Motocross
Motorcross races are all about speed. The goal is to be the first to cross the finishing line. You can purchase faster bikes, or upgrade your bikes by buying upgrades, to get faster lap times.
Freestyle
Freestyle is the opposite to Motocross. Here it doesn't matter if you are slower across the finish line, what matters is the score your highest trick receives. Freestyle is all about performing amazing tricks.
Customization
Bikes
To start with you need to purchase a bike. You can do so after earning in-game credits, or you can use micro-transactions to fast-track your progress.
