Tips and Strategies
Practice makes perfect
Spend at least 10 minutes doing daily drills and games. These will not only reward you with decent coin bonuses, it will also keep you sharp when you play an actual match.
Save your coins
There are a lot of other ways to get good players than to just spend your money to take a chance at an Elite Player. You can save your coins for special offers in the store, or you can use them in the auction house to buy the collectibles and players that you really need.
Complete a Set
If you have a player that you don't currently need, don't just sell it. Check Sets to see if there is an available space for your player. Completing Sets can give decent rewards, so before quick selling or putting your players out for auction, check if you can use them to complete a Set first.
Don't be bullied!
You can freely choose who you go up against in Head-to-Head matches, so if the challenging player obviously has used real money to improve their team, then wise up and decline the match. After all, you won't lose any fans and the rewards for winning against a stronger opponent doesn't really get better.
The faster the better
Using the Best Lineup button will allow you to have the best players you have into most of the positions, but when it comes to players who will need to run, return or receive the ball, make sure to take note of their Speed rating. Always consider using fast players for the following positions: HB, WR, KR, and PR. However, it is also important that you consider that all their other stats are equal, since it won't also be a good idea if the only good thing about your players is their speed.
You better run
For some reason, running plays work better against computer AI. They tend to have problems getting around blocks. Do some running plays inside and line your blocker up with the defender and you'll be able to go as far as 8-10 yards before first contact.
Change as often as you need
When you get blocked, or when you are pursuing the tackle, don't just let the computer make the play. Change the players immediately.
Master your swiping skills
When an opposing player throws the ball and it flies mid-air, you will see a swipe command in the screen. Swipe at the right time and you'll most likely be able to intercept the ball, plus your defender gets a pass defense bonus as well. This is one of the key features of the game that you have to master to be a good player.
Getting impatient?
Everything about this game takes patience. Getting the Super Bowl and the Play off rewards by playing tons of seasons will take eternity. Most of the time, you aren't going to get the collectibles that you will need. To be successful in this game (and a lot others) you will definitely need a lot of patience and perseverance, and you'll need to learn to adapt to each game to turn the tide of a match in your favor.
