Bent is an aged bio engineer and looks back on a life of responsibility as the director of a research lab. He is the definition of a workaholic, but his deteriorating health forced him to give up his career before he was able to complete his life’s work of engineering an energy-efficient bio-fuel from blue algae. It was far from easy for him to let go of his responsibilities and hand them over to the next generation in the shape of his son Duve. Ever since, he’s desperately been trying to enjoy the solitude of his cabin in the Norwegian wilderness.

The CEO and founder of Indez Industries is an unscrupulous business man. He always has his own interests and that of his company at heart. When Bent Svensson and his clean bio energy appeared on his radar, he immediately was all ears. A form of energy that everyone could easily and cheaply generate at home, would ruin him financially. Indez is determined to prevent this – for him, everything boils down to money.

Salvador is Fay’s tough superior. As a representative of mankind’s future, he is willing to take drastic measures in order to avert the impending doom. His understanding of this mission is absolute: Either the climate catastrophe will be prevented or humanity will perish. In his view, this gives him the right – no, the obligation – to overstep any boundary to achieve his goal, be it moral, ethical or otherwise.

Oggy is a freelance journalist and a one-man team capable of generating and disseminating news instantly. As the owner of a helicopter that he has turned into a mobile broadcasting station, he is able to cover any crisis zone – and fast. And with a time travel capsule from the future materializing right inside his chopper, he surely has the story of the century on his hands.
