Alternate exploit
Utilizing the save method you can effectively farm cash and items through item duplication Drop the item on the ground you want duplicated from your map reference save and then import your character Pick up the item and you now have 2 update your map reference save and then drop both items now Import your character and pick up both items and you now have 4 of this item This growth is exponential and over time will amount to insane amounts of cash if your selling or you can duplicate your favorite weapon to dual wield or just duplicate augmentations to slot into your armor
NOTE on the alternate exploit it is only necessary to have 1 save spot available
Casting time glitch
When using a spell such as the Barbarians ancestral call if you press select right after cast you will go into the inventory then exit out and the spell will be cast without worring about something attacking you during the wait time works instantly
Champions talk
Allow the game to idle for over one minute Your character will say something like quotIsnt there something more important to doquot
Cheat Level 20 with 999 Skill Points
me and my friend found this out
You have to get to champion to do this you can try it in the lower difficulties but i doubt it will work as well
go down to feydark forest and before you enter the caves you have to fight a boss i forget the name but that doesnt matter its not hard to figure out weaken him untel he has a sliver of life you should be able to acomplish this with 2 players with atleast 1 level 20 resing if you die then befor he dies create a new character then deleate the one you are using and kill him with your level 1 this is the difficult part you either have to have one of the guards kill him but be carefull because if he kills the guard you gain 5 levels this is not what we want either that or you will have to do it your self with a bow or the hard way you get a sertain distance before he turns around then you have to run up and get him from behind once he is dead you gain 42 levels with 1 bubble to the next level Enjoy
Dark Dirty Elves
First make your character race be the dark elves Note YOU MUST BE A GIRL DARK ELF Then once you make it to the very first dungeon kill all the goblins on the first floor After that happens stand thre for a few seconds The elf will say one of three things quotSmells like my dreamhousequot quotI must meet the decoratorquot or she will say quotThese dark places turn me onquot She will say one of these three things quotoncequot per new game So make about four or five new games to hear her say every one of these things
Death to Elves
There is a glitch in Act 1 Any npc elf running around not stationary can be killed They give roughly 140160exp each You can kill them by selecting the erudite wizard select the spell Shock of Fire and aim it by an elf make sure it hits something so it will explode next to them It takes a little time but shortly they will persih giving exp and items and a little gold
Dual Wield lvl 1
Start a new game and pick a dark elf Go through the creation process until you have to enter a name for your character Enter the name you want and before hitting the enter button hold L1 L2 R1 R2 L3 R3 Triangle and then while holding these down press enter and continue holding them until you get to where you can actually move your character Make sure you can press the Start button to skip past the next storymovie and go on to playing Now that your ready go break some fruit baskets or kill some monsters until you get another weapon Now go into your items screen and in the weapons you have just put that other weapon in your SK other hand This also works for the barbarian
Easy items and money
Start a game with two controllers Press Start and select quotAddRemove Playerquot Select the slot for player two at the import screen then import the current character you are playing into the player two slot Select quotFinishquot and player two
will now be a duplicate of your original character with the same armor weapons and items Sell the duplicated inventory items for money then repeat
Faster experience
First find a Boss that gives a lot of experience points Before fighting it save the game After you defeat the Boss create another save file and save the game on that file Load the first file that you saved then import your character from the second saved game file Fight the Boss again then overwrite the second file Repeat the process until the experience points from the Boss is not longer satisfactory Remember to not overwrite your first save file
Free Gate Scroll
Make sure you have a Gate Scroll before trying this in a nononline game Hold Square then press Select to gate as if you used a Gate Scroll without using a scroll
Hear the players talk
Allow the game to idle for over one minute Your character will say something like quotIsnt there something more important to doquot
Instantly go from level 1 to level 193950
Once you get to the Cloud Giant King in the Tower of Clouds attack him like you would any other time you have fought him but stop just when he has a sliver of life left
Once you have his life down to whatever you consider almost dead run back to the save point that you found just before you got to the Cloud Giant King It is very important that you make sure he doesnt follow you back up the path because the game engine doesnt let you save if it thinks that you are still fighting anything and if that happens the cheat is impossible to complete Once you get back to the save point use a gate scroll Go to the shop keeper and buy about 20 or 30 exploding potions and gate scroll back Once you are back drop the potions on the ground After you have dropped all of your explosion potions save your game but make sure you save it as a new file so that it doesnt affect your current characters save file and whatever you dont ever save over this file
Next create the character you want to get to a higher level It is very important that you start from the character creation screen and not to use a character you have already been playing with because it will ONLY work with a lvl 1 0 exp gained character Once you have your new character made as soon as you gain control of your avatar go directly to the save point and be sure not to kill any orcs Save your new level 1 character over any save file execpt for the file that is your tower of clouds save
After you have successfully saved your new character reload the Tower of Clouds save file Once back in that game load in your new level 1 charater into the Tower of Clouds save file replacing your higher level character
With your level 1 character go around and pick up all or as many as you can of the explosion potions that you had previously dropped and run down towards the Cloud Giant King Kill the Cloud Giant King with the potions and you will instantly become level 50 on Champion difficulty 39 on Corageous or 19 on Adventurous with plenty of skill points to distribute
Kill Bosses
When playing in single player mode make a duplicate of yourself to distract the Boss The boss will attack your copy and not your original character
Lv 20 Instantly
You HAVE to be a Lv character for this to work All you have to do is hold Down L1 R2 Triangle R3 You will have 999 points in Strength Intelligence Dexterity and Stamina
Quick attacks
If you have a one handed weapon equiped press the block button and attack button simultaneously to do a very quck strike use this on a close enemy and you can see the damage rank up
Raise character to level 20
This cheat only works in the North American version of the game When you enter this code your player will jump to level 20 have 75000 gold and have 999 skill points The bad thing is your player will have the same amount of STR INT DEX and STA as when you created himher Enter the code in gameplay
Resetting a shop easily
Instead of running to the portal and warping twice to reset a shop use the following trick to reset a shop without having to move and only loading once each time First save the game Each town has a save point near the shop so it is not that far of a run Once your game is saved position yourself in front of the shopkeeper and see what he has for sale If the shopkeeper is not selling something you desire import your recently saved character over your current one and the game will load himher into the game Once your character has been imported the shopkeepers stock will have reset You can either drop the items you buy until you are ready to move on thus saving yourself money or you can be honest and save after each purchase If you import and the shopkeeper still does not carry what you want just import over your character again repeatedly until he has the desired item While it may seem like a lot of work to import repeatedly it is still easier than running to the portal and warping twice
Revealing costume
Equip the Elven Patchwork Armor to a female character Then unequip the legging This works best with the Elven Cleric
Save exploit
Make sure you have room on your memory card for more than one save The idea behind the cheat is to import your own character into a map you control So if you are after experience fight your way through the game to a boss fight with an easily accessible save point Fight the boss down to the last hit and then withdraw to the save point Save the game this will be the map reference Now go ahead and wander back towards the boss and kill him You gain the xp and loot of the boss fight Return to the save point and save your game on This will create a new save that well use to import from Now exit the game and reload your map reference save 1st save Once inside your game hit start and go to AddRemove Players Highlight your own character and hit triangle to import a character Import your character that already has the boss experience into the map reference save you created and you now have the opportunity to kill the boss again in one blow no less and regain his xp and loot
Weapon upgrades
Note This does not apply to Storm Shards Some weapon upgrades for example Beetle Eye Bone Chip etc and any lesser versions of those can take up two upgrade spaces for a weapon due to something called Fire Burst or Ice Burst which give a small chance for additional damage to a weapon If you have something like a Misty Globe Bloodstone Regen Stone etc you may want to put those on first to a weapon with two spaces so you can also put on a stone that adds damage
