Which device? I am stuck over in the hall/room to the left of throne room. There is a puzzle on the left side of wall that you have to work to open the door. You are supposed to use the position of the suns on the 3 earths in the pic in throne room to do the puzzle. However, something just isn't working right for me. I need a visual!

Is your torch lit? If not go back to tower at beginning to get flame. If so, you need something to heat statue. Find it in the stable.
