This online-only Nextbox rumour just doesn't seem to be going away. Kotaku are reporting that they have two separate sources who confirm the next Xbox requires an internet connection. Fair enough, maybe it's just another run-of-the-mill rumour article.

If it is an always on console, then that's going to get some people away from it.
Also, whether this was intentional or not, it should be kept under wraps and people have to realize that they could get into a lot of trouble doing these kinds of things.
If there's reason to believe that you'll be in the public eye, you should be more aware of this kind of stuff... And if the Xbox DOES have an internet requirement? Now Microsoft comes off as callous and uncaring rather than making a business decision.
