Robert Anthony Salvatore, better known as R.A. Salvatore, is an author whose most famous works include the DemonWars Saga series, as well as the Forgotten Realms novels. He is also the creator of the famous character, Drizzt Do'Urden. His books have become best-sellers of the New York Times 22 times and have sold a combined total of more than 15 million in the United States alone.
Salvatore has also contributed to the video game community, with one of his first works being the story for Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone. He has also written the bot chat lines for the Quake III bots. Salvatore joined the team at 38 Studios as Creative Director, where he created the story and dialog for Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. This didn't last too long, though, as the company was dissolved and he was laid off, along with the rest of the employees.
