Resident Evil, known as Bio Hazard in Japan, is a survival horror video game by Capcom. The first installment in the Resident Evil series was originally released in 1996 for the PlayStation and was soon ported to the Sega Saturn and Microsoft Windows, as well as the Nintendo DS some years later; a planned port to the Game Boy Color was cancelled.
