I agree. DRM will be a terrible blow for the games industry. It will put it on the lines of Apple's practice, that a user does not actually 'buy' media content but rents it, and as such will be restricted as to what they can do with it.
Bruce Willis discovered this last year when he found out that upon his death he cannot pass on his digital music collection to his children (guardian.co.uk/technology/shortcuts/2012/sep/03/…).

It will never reach the heights of the PS2
