The latest entry in the Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games series was announced during the latest Japanese Nintendo Direct presentation. Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games is in the works for both the Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS.

No release date has been announced for the title but the opening ceremony for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games is 5th August, so expect a release some time before then in order to capitalise on the excitement leading up to the event.
