The kingdom of Fahrul has found itself in a dire spot - the king has been assassinated and chaos has consumed the once peaceful land. To change their inevitably doomed fate, the citizens of the land must rise up and repel the evils that threaten their kingdom. The safety and success of these make-shift ensembles rests in your hands. For The King is a turn-based RPG being developed by Canadian game studio IronOak Games. As the invisible commander of these wannabe heroes, your decisions both in combat and while traveling will greatly determine their successes, as well as their costly failures.
The gameplay uses classic turn-based combat, where you must decide how/who to attack and when to use your special attacks effectively. The game’s world on the other hand takes cues from roguelike games. Since the world is being procedurally generated, no one playthrough will be the same as another. FTK also includes a crafting system which allows you to create rare and more powerful weapons for your growing heroes. But beware, weapons can break if put in the hands of someone who lacks the necessary skills required. Finally, For the King is both a single player and multiplayer game. While you can control the actions of your whole party alone, you can also go online and have a friend control some party members.

The adventures of Bwana and Kito will soon be coming to a close, but they need some help first. Swedish developer SkyGoblin has come to Kickstarter in order to fund the third and final episode of The Journey Down trilogy. The Journey Down is a click & point adventure franchise featuring puzzles and mechanics that are inspired by the classic LucusArts games of the 90s (especially Grim Fandango), while the character designs are inspired by sub-Saharan culture.
Unlike the previous two games in the series, The Journey Down: Episode Three will not revolve around a central hub like St Armando. Instead, this episode will have players travelling through different locations and will involve little in the way of backtracking. Like the previous two games, the third episode will also have a jazz and reggae-inspired soundtrack, which will be produced by Jamie Salisbury. Finally, for those looking to get into the franchise, there is a $24 tier for the whole trilogy. If this Kickstarter campaign succeeds, you will immediately be sent the Steam keys for the first two episodes...
