Nexon has sold off its 15 percent stake in NCSoft, according to Business Korea. Each share was sold at 181,959 won (US $161.38), making for a total sale of 601.7 billion won (US $533.7 million).
NCSoft CEO Kim Taek-jin has increased his stake in the company in response, from 10 percent to 12 percent, by acquiring 440,000 shares.
Back in October 2014 Nexon increased its stake in the company from 14.68 percent to 15.08 percent, despite opposition from NCSoft due to fears of a management takeover by Nexon. In January of this year Nexon did indeed make moves to influence the management of NCSoft but was ultimately rebuffed.
