RPG Pillars of Eternity has been a huge success for developer Obsidian Entertainment, selling 500,000 units worldwide (although it's worth noting that the figure includes copies shipped as part of the rewards for the game's Kickstarter campaign).
"Every one of these milestones, from the completion of our crowdfunding campaign to the game's release and beyond, is a surreal moment when you consider where this journey began," said Obsidian CEO Feargus Urquhart. "Pillars of Eternity has been a life-changing experience for me, and for everyone involved in its creation."
Pillars of Eternity released on March 26, 2015, for Windows PC, Mac, and Linux.
